Amare at FITUR 2026: Promoting Blue Tourism from Galicia

The International Tourism Fair (FITUR) returned to Madrid this January 2026, and Amare Turismo Náutico proudly took part once again. We joined the event full of energy, clear goals, and one strong mission: to grow, connect and position the Ría de Arousa as a flagship destination for blue and sustainable tourism 🌊

Being at FITUR is not just about attending—it’s about being part of a collective movement that’s reshaping how we travel. And we truly believe that the sea has a lot to offer to the future of tourism.

🤝 Partnerships, synergies and tourism with purpose

During FITUR 2026, we had the opportunity to connect with travel agencies, tour operators, institutions, and like-minded tourism brands from Spain and beyond—entities looking to add authentic, nature-based and nautical experiences to their offers.

Key topics that came up:

  • ✅ Blue and coastal tourism as a sustainable model

  • ✅ Unique experiences like the Traslatio Route, the only maritime stage of the Camino de Santiago

  • ✅ Combining nature, heritage and authenticity in travel

  • ✅ Emerging destinations in Galicia, like Illa de Arousa

Thanks to these meetings, we’ve opened new doors that will help more travelers experience the Ría de Arousa with respect, joy and local connection 🚤

🌿 A blue Galicia: sustainability as our compass

Sustainability was a key theme at FITUR 2026—and for us at Amare, it’s been our guiding principle from day one.

🌱 We’re proud to be part of:

  • Galicia Destino Sostible

  • Soy Ecoturista

  • Cluster de Turismo de Galicia

  • And we hold the SICTED quality certification

What’s more:

  • 🍷 We serve local wines and artisan products on board

  • 🐟 Our crew is made up of local professional fishermen

  • 🌍 We limit group sizes to reduce impact and enhance the experience

We believe in showing the beauty of our land without harming it.

🧭 Putting Ría de Arousa on the experiential travel map

During our time at FITUR, we presented some of our most popular experiences:

  • Traslatio Route: the only sea stage of the Camino de Santiago

  • Illa de Arousa Boat Tour: culture, seafood farms, wild beaches

  • Beginner fishing trips with expert guides

  • Visits to protected islands: Sálvora, Cortegada, Areoso, Rúa

  • Tastings on board with Albariño wine and local preserves

💡 Every experience we offer is designed to create a real, emotional connection with nature, the sea, and the people of Galicia.

📣 FITUR 2026 reaffirmed our mission

We return home inspired, motivated and full of new ideas and contacts. Being part of this global event reminded us why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, believed in our values, and wants to be part of a more human, more sustainable way of traveling.
