TOUR OF THE ISLA DE SÁLVORA
The only island belonging to the Galician Atlantic Islands Maritime-Terrestrial National Park where we can see wild Galician horses and deer is Sálvora.
This island features an archipelago of incredible islands at north:
- The Vionta island is shaped like a dune and has beaches of fine sand.
- The islet Noro is formed of big rocks from which it receives its name and Gaboteira and Herbosa islets are located nearby.
This is a beautiful archipelago. The shallow crystal-clear waters allow us to see the bottom as if using diving goggles.
When in Sálvora, the first noticeable things are the castle and the mermaid.
After arriving, we will enjoy a tour by foot, with or without a guide. In this tour, we can visit the ancient village (uninhabited since 1972), the lighthouse, the forest and the surroundings of such a peaceful island. This tour is recommended anytime during the year, even in July and August, since it is the most unknown island of the Galician Atlantic Islands Maritime-Terrestrial National Park.
This is truly a very beautiful, big and peaceful island, which is what visitors appreciate the most in this kind of tours.
