Port of O Campo, Island of Arousa
Would you like to visit the most charming islands in the Ría de Arousa?
On this tour, we’ll visit Rúa Island and Areoso Islet. This experience is only available from July onwards, as access to Rúa Island is restricted during spring to protect the nesting season of the birds that inhabit this natural area.
First, we’ll arrive at Rúa Island by boat, where we’ll enjoy a guided tour. Rúa is an island located in the heart of the Ría de Arousa. One of its most unique features is that it is an island made entirely of rock. From its highest point, you’ll enjoy spectacular views across the estuary.
During our guided tour, we’ll explore its caves, learn about its history, discover its lighthouse, and understand its importance. An experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
We will then board the boat again and head to the Galician Caribbean: Areoso Islet.
Its turquoise waters and fine white sands will welcome us. A beautiful island full of nature, where you’ll feel as though you’ve arrived in the real Caribbean.
This time, at Areoso, we won’t have a guided tour. Instead, we’ll enjoy a relaxing walk before cooling off with a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters.
We will be visiting a protected natural area, so we kindly ask all visitors to minimise their impact on the local flora and fauna. Please do not remove any stones, shells, or other natural elements from the island.
As you can see, it’s the perfect opportunity to discover two of the greatest treasures of the Ría de Arousa in a single trip.
We will depart from the port of O Campo in Island of Arousa. It is important to be at the port 10 minutes in advance and come with time to park.
*The location of the output port may vary. Sufficient notice will be given and it will always be within Illa de Arousa.
First, we will sail to the island of Rúa. There you can enjoy an unforgettable guided tour.
Once finished, we will take you to Areoso islet so you can cool off in its crystal-clear waters and stroll along its white sand beaches.
Once the activity is finished, we will return to the port of departure.
